Greg Price Earns CBI & CEPA Designations

Calder Associates announced today that Greg Price, Director of Business Sales in our Northern New Jersey office, has received both the prestigious International Business Broker Association’s “Certified Business Intermediary” (CBI) designation and the “Certified Exit Planning Advisors” (CEPA) certification.
To qualify for the CBI certification Mr. Price had to:
• Complete a list of required and elective courses designed by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). Courses included legal and tax classes, business pricing and valuation, financial analysis, ethics, and specialty courses for specific types of businesses.
• Pass exams for each of the required and elective courses and then sit for the CBI exam that covers detailed aspects of ethics, tax law, government lending, financial analysis, business valuation, business pricing, and negotiations.
• Agree to follow the IBBA’s Code of Ethics and submit personal references.
To earn his CEPA (Certified Exit Planning Advisors) certification, Greg followed an intensive course of study including: exit planning, estate planning concepts, financial planning, exit options, financing debt, and reporting options.
Based on the knowledge Greg acquired in this demanding program, he can better assist business owners in the design and implementation of a successful exit plan from their business. He uses their personal objectives and converts them into a realistic Exit Strategy with a desired outcome. This important process helps business owners maximize their financial return, minimize their tax liability, plan for contingencies, and increases the likelihood of a successful transfer of the business.
