On February 26th, 2015, Stephen Wain, President of Calder Associates, spoke to a select group of prospective 2015 Harvard MBA grads who are participating in Harvard Business School’s Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (“EtA“) program. These students are are interested in corporate ownership and the issues with selection, evaluation, and process of acquiring lower middle market companies.
Steve’s presenation and discussion was to help and encourage these determined students on the how to effectively acquire strategic businesses for ownership.
Steve’s experience in consulting to small and middle-market businesses, evaluating their operations, and counseling owners in the preparation and sale of their business provided a backdrop to the complexities of ownership Harvard grads are looking to understand.
Steve also successfully spearheaded the sale of a lower middle-market entity to a private equity group from Harvard’s Business School in 2014.
